UniSource Energy Services field crews have restored natural gas service to customers in Winslow.

The interruption in service began early Friday morning after low natural gas pressures were observed in UniSource’s local distribution system, which caused an outage that affected about 250 customers. UniSource crews shut off the meters serving affected homes and took steps Friday to ensure safe restoration of service.

UniSource employees visited homes individually throughout the night to restore service. Residents must be at home to allow employees to restore gas service, perform safety checks and relight appliances like furnaces, water heaters and ranges.

If customers are away from home or do not respond when crews arrive, a door tag will be left encouraging them to contact UniSource to schedule service restoration. Employees from UniSource offices across the state responded to assist with restoration efforts.

Affected customers who wish to arrange for restoration or have questions or concerns can contact UniSource’s Customer Care line at 1-877-837-4968.
