UES will award nonprofit groups $80,000 in Community Impact Grants to support limited-income, educational and environmental programs.
UES field crews will be working through the night to restore natural gas service to about 800 Prescott Valley customers.
The grants will give children opportunities to learn about conservation and help support victims of domestic violence, child abuse and other crimes.
This year, about 100 natural gas and electric customers throughout the state have reported being targeted by phone scammers.

UES has awarded $15,000 in Community Impact Grants to six nonprofit groups that provide critical services to Santa Cruz County residents.
UES customers can make free one-time online bill payments and better manage energy use with updated mobile app features.
